The Grants Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network today published its first register of awards, together with its first statistical release. Both cover the transition period from 10 August to 5 September 2026, during which grant applications were assessed under interim arrangements by a panel drawn from member organisations, and record the position at establishment on 6 September 2026.

Ninety-six applications were received in the transition period and thirty-seven awards were made, totalling 412,500 credits. The largest award was 84,000 credits, towards shared measurement equipment; the smallest was 900 credits, towards a community access point. The average award was 11,150 credits. All thirty-seven awards were transferred to the Office on establishment and are administered under the conditions of grant published today.

The register records the reference, programme, class of recipient, purpose, amount and date of every award. The names of recipients will be added to the register as award agreements are signed and countersigned, and the first quarterly register will be published in January 2027 covering the quarter ending 31 December 2026. The register and the statistical release are set out on the Register of Awards and Statistics pages of this site.
