Press Release

Grants Office Publishes Application Arrangements and Assessment Timetable

Office of the Spokesperson

The Grants Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network today published the arrangements by which applications to its programmes are made, assessed and decided. Applications are made by writing to the Office, which issues the application papers for the programme concerned and acknowledges every application within five working days of receipt.

Every application is checked for completeness and eligibility, assessed against the published criteria by assessors drawn from member organisations, and put before the Grants Panel. The Panel meets within twenty-five working days of a programme's closing date and recommends awards to the Director of the Grants Office, who decides. Applicants are notified within thirty working days of the closing date, whether or not an award is made, and unsuccessful applicants are given the reasons for the decision.

Decisions on the first four programmes are due between 11 December 2026 and 29 January 2027. Applications under the Community Connectivity Grants are decided within thirty working days of receipt and those under the Small Project Grants within fifteen. The full procedure, the assessment timetable and the conditions attached to every award are set out on the How to Apply and Conditions of Grant pages of this site.
