Grants Office Opens Six Grant Programmes

The Grants Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network today published the terms of its first six grant programmes. The programmes open to application between Monday 14 September and Monday 5 October 2026 and share a combined provision of 1.86m credits for the transitional period ending 31 December 2026.
The programmes are the Interoperability Development Grants, which fund work by member organisations to adopt the technical standards of the Network; the Research and Measurement Grants, which fund independent research into the performance and measurement of the Network; the Skills and Training Grants, which fund the training of technical staff; the Shared Facilities Grants, which fund equipment and premises used in common by more than one member organisation; the Community Connectivity Grants, which fund public access to Network services provided by community bodies; and the Small Project Grants, which meet costs of up to 3,000 credits on a rolling basis.
Awards range from 1,000 credits under the Community Connectivity Grants to 250,000 credits under the Shared Facilities Grants. Four programmes close between 30 October and 4 December 2026 and are decided by the Grants Panel after their closing dates; the Community Connectivity Grants and the Small Project Grants are assessed as applications are received, the former closing on 26 February 2027.
